Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller with MultiEthernet communication for modern motion platforms. Internal air cooling through an integrated blower and 13 A peak current give the unit a capable operating profile for demanding axis control. CANopen support with IP20 protection makes the controller a strong fit for enclosed industrial installations.

Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW, which belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, the unit provides closed-loop regulation of servo axes by converting command data from a higher-level PLC into controlled voltage and current for connected motors. This allows coordinated motion, stable speed control, and accurate positioning in compact machine sections where a small controller must still manage continuous axis feedback. It is suited to single-axis or small multi-axis duties where the drive must respond quickly to changing command values from the control system.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to low-voltage plant mains. During transient demand, the power section can deliver up to 13 A of peak current to cover acceleration surges and short load changes. Thermal energy is removed by an internal blower, so airflow passes through the unit without requiring external ducting. This arrangement keeps the thermal path simple inside enclosed control cabinets and supports stable operation during repeated motion cycles. The housing is rated IP20, which provides finger-safe access but does not protect against liquid entry. Motion commands and diagnostic data are exchanged through a Multi-Ethernet port, and the control logic is handled by the integrated BASIC section.
The controller also includes an encoder feedback connection for Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, allowing absolute position data to be processed directly by the drive. This feedback flexibility allows the same controller platform to work with several compatible motor feedback formats without added interface modules. A second network connection supports CANopen communication for decentralized I/O and related peripheral devices. Power can be exchanged through the DC bus in multi-axis arrangements, so the unit can both supply and use shared bus energy as operating conditions change. The product is built as Design Version 1, and the HCS01 designation places it in the smaller frame size of the series. A dedicated safety interface is not equipped, so required safety functions must be handled by external devices.
