The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the power section of a modular IndraDrive system, converting three-phase mains power into regulated motor output while exchanging commands with a BASIC control section. In industrial automation lines, this controller links motion axes to higher-level PLCs and supports coordinated speed, torque, and safety functions for servo and induction motors.

This unit accepts a supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, allowing it to operate from common factory power systems without an external transformer. Internal conversion losses are removed by air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet heat can be managed without separate cooling hardware. The housing has an IP20 rating, which provides protection against accidental finger contact but requires installation in an enclosed panel. Network traffic is handled by a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports several real-time Ethernet protocols on the same hardware. For transient acceleration or braking demands, the drive can deliver up to 18 A of device peak current before thermal limits intervene. Functional safety is provided by the certified STO circuit, which removes torque-producing energy at the output stage without shutting down the control electronics. Power is exchanged through a shared infeeding DC bus, so the module can receive intermediate-circuit energy and return regenerated power to the common supply. The controller ships without firmware installed, so the required firmware must be ordered as a separate sub-position.
