The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It functions as a drive controller that converts AC line power into regulated voltage and current for servo or induction motors, executing speed and torque commands issued by higher-level PLCs in automated production cells. Its single-axis design suits cabinet-mounted motion systems that need responsive motor control without requiring a separate external regulator. It is suited to packaging, handling, and assembly equipment where compact controller placement and predictable axis response are required within the machine cabinet.
The power section supplies a peak current of 18 A, allowing short acceleration bursts without derating. It connects to industrial AC supplies in the range of 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10%, so the same unit can be used on either 120 V or 230 V utility systems within its rated input window. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, eliminating the need for external ductwork. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the controller is intended for installation inside an enclosed control cabinet. A built-in safety channel provides STO, or Safe Torque Off, which suppresses motor torque when the safety circuit is opened. Motor feedback is accepted through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface, which supports current Rexroth encoder formats and keeps signal routing straightforward. DC-link energy is shared by the common-bus arrangement for infeeding and fed axes, allowing multiple axes to exchange regenerative power. This arrangement lets the controller exchange command data over the network while receiving position information through a dedicated motor-feedback channel, which supports stable closed-loop operation.
