Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As an HCS drive controller, it combines a power section and a control section in one unit to regulate synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery. By converting three-phase mains power into controlled output current, the unit handles speed, torque, and positioning tasks in multi-axis production cells, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment where motion must remain stable across changing loads and operating speeds.
For networked motion systems, the device offers a MultiEthernet communication interface that supports simultaneous real-time protocols. The power section accepts 3 × AC 200 to 500 V ±10% input and can deliver up to 18 A of peak current to the motor windings. Internal cooling is provided by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so heat is removed without the need for a separate external fan assembly. An IP20 housing allows installation in electrical enclosures while still permitting finger-safe access to terminals. The product belongs to line HCS01 with design version 1, and its power supply concept allows regenerated energy to return to the DC bus during braking. Firmware is ordered as a separate sub-position.
Functional safety is implemented through STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), allowing torque removal or brake activation through the integrated safety functions. Fieldbus integration is expanded by the second interface, PROFIBUS, for connection to compatible control networks. Encoder feedback is processed through IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder inputs so the controller can monitor absolute position data from supported motors. The control section, identified as BASIC, provides standard regulation loops for common motion tasks. This arrangement keeps communication, feedback, and safety functions within the same drive controller.
