Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device functions as a drive controller that conditions three-phase power, manages feedback, and exchanges fieldbus data. It allows servomotors or induction motors to follow commands from higher-level automation systems in assembly cells, conveyors, or packaging lines where coordinated axis control is required. It is intended for cabinet-based motion systems that combine power conversion and feedback handling in one module.
The controller communicates with plant networks through a MultiEthernet port, which allows protocol selection in software rather than through hardware changes. Its control section is delivered in the BASIC configuration, which provides standard motion functions without additional technology options. At maximum load, the power electronics can supply up to 54 A of peak current to the connected motor windings during rapid acceleration. Heat from the switching devices is removed by internal air cooling, with an integrated blower circulating cabinet air across the heat sink. For mains connection, the unit accepts 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, allowing use across a wide range of industrial supply systems.
Motor position data enters the control loop through the dedicated IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, supporting high-resolution absolute feedback. The housing meets IP20, so the controller is intended for installation inside a protected enclosure and provides finger-safe access only. The unit is Design Version 1, which identifies it as the first production release for the HCS01 frame. It uses an infeeding and regenerative power section, so it can receive DC-bus power from an upstream supply module and return regenerated energy during deceleration. Interface 2 and the safety interface are not equipped on this version.
