The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW drive controller is part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Intended for cabinet installation, it serves as the power and control core for IndraDyn servo axes in automated machinery. By regulating current and voltage to the motor, it handles fast motion tasks locally and supports positioning, speed control, and torque control in compact packaging, handling, and processing equipment. Because the control and power functions are combined in one unit, the drive can manage closed-loop axis behavior without requiring a separate motion module for the same axis.
This controller connects directly to plant mains rated at 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10% and can deliver up to 3 A of peak output to the motor windings. Cooling uses internal air circulation from an integrated blower, so heat is removed within the narrow HCS01 housing without external heat sinks. Network integration is handled through a MultiEthernet port that supports common industrial Ethernet protocols and allows the drive to exchange cyclic control data with higher-level automation systems. The electronics are protected to IP20, which is suitable for enclosed control cabinets where contact protection and organized cable routing are provided. It is a design version 1 unit in the HCS01 line and uses an infeeding and fed power supply arrangement.
The control section uses the BASIC design type, so the feature set remains focused on core axis control functions. Axis feedback enters through a first connector that accepts IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, while a second port provides an encoder emulation output for connected monitoring devices or legacy equipment. Drive enable monitoring is supported by the integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) circuit, which removes torque generation at the motor without requiring separate external contactors for a Category 0 stop. This arrangement lets the controller process feedback and handle safe shutdown functions within the same housing, which helps keep cabinet layout straightforward and keeps signal routing concentrated at the drive.
