Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The unit is an HCS drive controller intended to regulate servo or induction axes within multi-axis automation cells, providing closed-loop speed and torque control while coordinating motion with higher-level PLCs. It integrates power electronics, communication functions, and motor feedback processing to convert cabinet supply power into precisely modulated three-phase output. This arrangement suits factory machinery such as pick-and-place gantries, packaging stations, and conveyor modules where controlled axis response is required during continuous operation.
The power stage accepts mains voltage from 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing use on both 230 V and 460 V factory networks without hardware changes. It can deliver a device peak current of 18 A, which supports short overload periods during acceleration or braking events. Motion commands and cross-coupling data reach the controller through a SERCOS III master with cross communication interface, while motor position feedback is handled through support for IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders. Auxiliary machine status can also be exchanged over CANopen, which helps connect decentralized I/O within the same automation system.
Within the HCS01 line, the installed control section is the ADVANCED variant and it is matched to the power module for this controller configuration. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external fan tray is required for normal operation. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which makes it suitable for installation inside a protected control cabinet. DC-bus energy exchange uses infeeding and fed operation, permitting regenerative braking and power distribution to additional axes, and the unit does not include a dedicated safety interface.
