Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It combines a power stage with a pluggable control section that converts incoming mains power, processes feedback, and issues torque references for connected servo or induction motors. The unit is intended for multi-axis packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and other automation cells that rely on coordinated speed or position profiles generated in a higher-level PLC.
The controller communicates with plant networks over MultiEthernet, letting a single hardware port switch among EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without rewiring. Its control section is the BASIC variant, so parameter memory and motion functions are provided without optional safety logic extensions. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling; an integrated blower moves cabinet air across the heat sink, eliminating external ductwork. During acceleration peaks, the power stage can deliver up to 18 A of output current, and it tolerates a supply window of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, enabling global deployment on 230 V or 400 V utility grids. Cabinet protection is rated at IP20, so the device requires installation inside an enclosure but allows finger-safe servicing when de-energized. An IndraDyn encoder port that accepts Hiperface or EnDat operates independently from the main fieldbus, improving position fidelity under high-speed motion commands.
Functional safety is addressed with a hardware-level STO (Safe Torque Off) input that removes drive energy without affecting the motion program held in the control section. For precision feedback, the drive’s interface supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, supplying sensor power and capturing absolute position data in real time. Power exchange with the DC bus follows the Infeeding / Feeded topology, so a single front-end rectifier can supply several drives while surplus regenerative energy is shared across the common link.
