Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the power and control link between the incoming electrical supply and a motor-driven machine axis. Installed between the mains supply and a synchronous or induction motor, it modulates voltage and current for accurate motion control. Because it is a single-axis unit, it is intended to manage one motor channel within a larger automation system. In factory automation, the controller supports packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and similar electromechanical systems.
The unit draws three-phase power from 3 x AC 200–500 V and converts it into a DC bus that can deliver a peak output current of 28 A during acceleration or shock loading. This wide input range allows the controller to operate on common industrial power systems without changing the basic drive concept. A front panel rated at IP20 limits finger contact with energized parts inside control cabinets. Command data and diagnostics travel over MultiEthernet, allowing support for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT without additional option cards. Functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), which disable motor torque and control brake release through monitored relays when a stop category is invoked. The infeeding topology also allows regenerated energy to be shared among drives instead of being dissipated as heat.
The controller is supplied in Design Version 1 and uses the BASIC control section, with parameter sets stored on an internal memory module rather than an external card. This arrangement keeps operating data inside the unit and avoids the need for separate removable storage. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which moves air through the housing to carry heat away from the power electronics. Motor feedback is accepted through IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, giving the drive compatibility with common servo feedback formats. Auxiliary devices can be connected over CANopen for networked I/O and related control signals.
