The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-S5-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It regulates the power stage of synchronous and asynchronous motors while exchanging real-time motion data with higher-level automation systems. By combining power conversion, control logic, and network interfaces in a single enclosure, the unit delivers coordinated speed, torque, and position control for axes used in material handling, packaging, and assembly lines. Its line designation HCS01 identifies the smallest frame in the family, making it suitable for low-to-medium power applications where panel space is limited.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10% and can source up to 13 A of device peak current, enabling short bursts of extra torque during acceleration. The housing carries a protection rating of IP20, so the controller must be mounted inside a cabinet. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which circulates airflow across the heat sinks without external ducting. For deterministic drive synchronization, it features a SERCOS III master link for cross communication between multiple axes, while general plant connectivity is handled through the integrated MultiEthernet port that can be configured for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT.
The control section mounted on this power base is classified as ADVANCED, providing expanded processing capacity for multi-axis interpolation and complex safety functions. Position feedback is read through the option 1 socket that supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, allowing high-resolution absolute data to be transmitted to the drive in a single-cable topology.
