Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It acts as the inverter and protective interface between the mains supply and a connected motor, carrying out torque and speed commands from higher-level PLCs. In automated systems, the unit coordinates axis motion, monitors motor feedback, and supports controlled stopping so servo and spindle drives can operate within programmed limits.
In operation, the controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10%, rectifies it, and modulates the output to match control demand. Its power stage can deliver up to 13 A of peak current, which supports short acceleration bursts. Control data and diagnostics are exchanged through MultiEthernet, which combines several Ethernet-based fieldbus options in one hardware interface. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet air is circulated across the heat sink without external ducts. For personnel protection, the drive includes STO (Safe Torque Off), which disables gate signals to the power stage and helps prevent unintended shaft rotation when the axis must be safely stopped.
The housing has an IP20 rating, so the controller is intended for installation inside an enclosure that protects it from liquids and debris while still allowing airflow through the unit. The power section supports DC bus infeed and feed-through operation, which allows it to receive energy from an upstream supply and pass regenerated energy to neighboring drives on the same rail. The controller uses Design Version 1, and both feedback sockets support IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 protocols for direct connection to compatible Rexroth synchronous motors with absolute position feedback. A BASIC control section with code B is required with this power module.
