Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW drive controller for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device functions as a modular drive axis that converts incoming three-phase power into regulated output for synchronous and asynchronous motors. This allows coordinated speed and torque control in automated production cells, conveyors, and other material-handling equipment. Its role within a machine is to supply controlled motor power while supporting stable axis response during changing load conditions.
The power stage can deliver a peak current of 54 A, which supports rapid acceleration without exceeding the thermal limits of the internal circuitry. It accepts mains supplies from 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, so it can operate on a broad range of industrial power networks. Cooling is provided by an integrated blower, and the IP20 enclosure is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet where wiring remains accessible. Functional safety includes STO and SBC, which remove drive torque and release a motor brake when a monitored fault occurs. Motion commands are exchanged through a SERCOS III master interface that also supports cross-controller communication in multi-axis machines.
The controller uses the ADVANCED control section and belongs to line HCS01 with design version 1. For motor feedback, it provides an Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port for high-resolution sensor input. A separate encoder emulation port supports systems that require replicated feedback signals. The power topology supports common DC-bus sharing among several axes, which is useful in grouped drive arrangements. This combination of feedback connections allows the unit to work with both current motor feedback devices and equipment that still depends on legacy signal handling.
