Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-AW as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This drive controller combines a power section with a detachable control section to regulate servo and induction motors in compact machinery, where space-saving installation and direct motor control are important. Within an automation cell, the unit converts incoming three-phase mains power into a controlled output and coordinates motion through its integrated logic, allowing precise speed and torque commands from higher-level PLCs during indexing, conveying, and other repeatable machine movements.

The power section accepts a supply of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10% and uses an internal DC bus sized to deliver a device peak current of 18 A for short-term load surges. Heat generated by the switching devices is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no additional ducting is required inside the cabinet. The enclosure is rated IP20, which provides finger-safe protection for indoor electrical panels and suits installation inside a protected cabinet rather than on an exposed machine surface. For network connectivity, the controller includes a MultiEthernet interface that supports several industrial Ethernet protocols, allowing the same hardware to integrate with different plant standards.

The detachable control section installed on this model is the BASIC variant, which suits standard positioning tasks without adding unnecessary complexity. Both encoder ports use the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, enabling single-turn or multi-turn feedback from Rexroth and third-party motors without additional adapter cards. Power for the DC bus is handled in an infeed and fed configuration, so several drives can share a common supply and regeneration path. The controller belongs to the HCS01 line, and this unit is design version 1, so its mechanical dimensions and connector locations match the first release across the series. No dedicated safety interface is included, so external safety relays or logic must be used when required.
