The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-S5-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It is intended to regulate motor torque, speed, and position in decentralized industrial automation cells. The controller serves as the power and regulation stage between the electrical supply and the connected servo axis. By managing direct energy exchange between the supply network and connected axes, it provides the closed-loop control required for pick-and-place gantries, packaging machines, and compact handling modules.
The unit accepts a three-phase input of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, which allows the same hardware to operate on low- or high-voltage factory mains without tap changes. This wide input range supports use across different plant supply levels within the same general platform. Data exchange with higher-level PLCs occurs through the MultiEthernet interface, permitting real-time motion commands over common fieldbus protocols. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external fan tray is needed. During acceleration events, the power stage can deliver a device peak current of 28 A, giving short-term headroom for high-inertia loads. The controller housing carries an IP20 rating, which provides finger-safe protection for cabinet-mounted installation in climate-controlled environments.
Feedback processing is accomplished through two ports that both accept Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, which simplifies cable selection across multiple axes. Using the same feedback interface on both ports can also make multi-axis wiring more consistent when compatible motors are installed. The power section is categorized for infeeding and fed operation, enabling common DC-bus arrangements where surplus braking energy from one axis can be reused by another. Axis logic pairs with the BASIC (B) control section, which supplies standard motion functions without optional technology packages.
