Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It belongs to the HCS01 line and serves as the power and control interface between plant-level converters and servo or induction axes. In industrial automation, it provides a compact platform for coordinated motion, torque regulation, and closed-loop drive control. It is intended for compact cabinet installations where motion control and power handling need to be combined in one unit.
For networked operation, the controller communicates over SERCOS III, allowing high-speed cyclic data exchange with PLCs. Because this communication method is deterministic, command values and status data can be updated in real time during synchronized motion. The control section uses the ECONOMY variant, which supports standard drive functions with a reduced option set. An integrated blower provides internal air cooling, helping remove heat from the enclosure during operation. The power stage can deliver a peak current of 18 A for short acceleration demands, and it accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V with a tolerance of ±10 percent. The housing has an IP20 rating for installation in indoor switchgear enclosures, and this enclosure style is intended for protected cabinet mounting rather than open exposure on the machine. No second option interface is installed.
Functional safety is handled by the dual-channel STO and SBC circuit, which provides safe torque off and brake control. Encoder feedback enters through a multi-protocol port that supports IndraDyn Hiperface / EnDat 2.1 / 2.2, allowing one controller platform to work with several common motor feedback formats. The controller uses a common DC bus with Infeeding / Feeded operation, so regenerative energy can be shared across the system or returned to the mains. The product is design version 1.
