Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-A-CC-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It regulates motor torque and speed in multi-axis machinery by converting supplied three-phase mains power into controlled output for servo and induction motors. Integrated encoder interfaces coordinate motor feedback, and the unit links motion tasks to PLC-controlled automation sequences. This control-side role fits packaging, handling, and general production equipment where several axes must respond in a coordinated way.
The device can draw a peak current of 28 A, allowing short-term acceleration demand without saturating the power circuit. It accepts an input of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, which allows one unit to operate on several regional supply grids. Heat is removed by internal air cooling; an integrated blower moves cabinet air across the heat sink so no external ducting is required. The housing has an IP20 rating, which makes it suitable for installation inside a switchgear enclosure. The power section supports bidirectional DC-bus operation, so the converter can supply energy to the DC bus or draw from it when paired with additional drives.
A SERCOS III master interface provides cyclical cross-communication, so axis diagnostics and setpoints travel on deterministic Ethernet without separate fieldbus hardware. The control section uses the ADVANCED type, which extends motion functions for more capable axis control. A built-in safety channel offers STO to remove torque-producing energy when a monitored stop is triggered. Two identical encoder channels support Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, giving the controller direct position data from synchronous or asynchronous motors. The unit is part of line HCS01 and is delivered in design version 1.
