Positioned between the mains supply and a servo or spindle motor, it converts incoming three-phase power into controlled DC bus energy for axis operation. In industrial automation, the unit governs torque and speed on individual axes while exchanging motion data with higher-level control systems. This arrangement supports coordinated movement in handling equipment, machine tools, and similar systems that require stable drive response. It can be used wherever one axis must follow commanded motion while remaining synchronized with the rest of the machine.

It operates from a supply of 3 x AC 110–230 V (±10%) and can deliver up to 9 A of peak output current to a connected motor.
