The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-AW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It provides closed-loop control for synchronous and asynchronous motors in factory automation, coordinating speed, torque, and position commands from a higher-level PLC over the machine network. This arrangement allows one controller to manage both motion response and motor feedback within the same axis package, which helps when cabinet space is limited.
This controller operates from a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10%, so it can be installed on low-voltage utility grids without an autotransformer. Real-time motion data and diagnostics are exchanged through the MultiEthernet communication interface, allowing direct connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT segments. Component heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The drive’s design version is 1, and its device peak current is rated at 13 A for short acceleration bursts on smaller motion axes. Feedback from the motor is processed through Interface 1 using IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, enabling absolute position capture without additional adapters.
The control section uses the BASIC type and is factory-paired with the power section, which keeps the parameter set consistent while leaving Interface 2 unequipped for applications that rely on a single encoder channel. Protection against touch and dust is limited to an IP20 rating, so the unit must be mounted inside a control cabinet. Energy flows through an infeed or fed power supply concept, permitting shared DC-bus operation with braking or active front-end modules. Within the project structure, the unit belongs to the HCS01 line, and no additional hardware options are installed, which keeps the footprint minimal in multi-axis cabinets.
