Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for smaller automation cabinets. As a drive controller, it regulates power between the incoming AC line and a connected servo or spindle axis so the motor can follow commanded motion. This unit belongs to Design Version 1 of the HCS01 line and is intended to operate with a BASIC control section in panel-mounted installations that use open-frame electronics. It is suited to applications that need a compact controller for a lower AC input range without adding separate network hardware.
On the communication side, the controller provides a MultiEthernet port, allowing direct integration with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without additional option cards. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the power section can deliver up to 18 A of peak current during acceleration or braking. The permissible input range is 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10%, and the IP20 housing requires installation inside a protective enclosure. Because the enclosure offers basic contact protection only, the unit is intended for cabinet mounting rather than exposed machine mounting. Its encoder interface supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, so the controller can work with absolute or incremental motor feedback.
Energy exchange with the DC bus uses a shared DC-bus infeed, allowing regenerated power from one axis to be used by another drive on the same bus. The controller has no safety interface, so required safety functions must be handled by external circuitry that interrupts the incoming power. This bus arrangement is useful in systems with alternating acceleration and braking because returned energy can stay within the drive group instead of being dissipated immediately. The result is a compact layout that supports networked motion control and standard motor feedback connections without extra interface modules.
