It converts three-phase mains power into controlled output for servo and induction motors, allowing precise torque, speed, and position control in automated production equipment. The unit links higher-level motion commands from a PLC to the motor power stage, so it can support coordinated axis movement in packaging systems, transfer lines, and other factory machines.
The device communicates over a SERCOS III master with cross communication interface, allowing synchronized data exchange with neighboring drives at very short cycle times. Its power stage can supply up to 28 A of peak current, which supports short-term overload during rapid acceleration and changing load conditions. The input side accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing the same unit to operate across a broad plant voltage range without additional taps or transformers. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required for normal operation. The power interface supports infeeding and fed operation, which allows the unit to absorb braking energy and share DC bus power with adjacent axes in the HCS01 line.
