The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, this unit functions as the power stage between the incoming AC supply and a synchronous or asynchronous motor, executing torque, speed, and position commands issued by a higher-level PLC. The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing operation on common industrial power systems. Its power section can provide up to 54 A of peak output current, so short acceleration demands can be handled without requiring a larger upstream supply. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which eliminates the need for external ducting. The enclosure is rated IP20, so the unit must be installed in a closed control cabinet. Network communication is handled through MultiEthernet, which supports multiple industrial Ethernet protocols through the same interface. The drive is configured for infeeding and fed power supply operation, allowing DC-bus energy sharing between connected axes.
Control functions are provided by a BASIC design section that mates mechanically with the power module. Functional safety is achieved through STO (Safe Torque Off), which removes gate commands to the inverter when the monitored input is de-energized. Feedback compatibility is supported by one interface for IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals and a second channel for encoder emulation used by legacy motion hardware. This arrangement lets the controller process motor feedback directly while also supplying a compatible reference signal to external devices. It can support newer feedback formats while still working with older control hardware that requires an emulated encoder signal.
