Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-PB-L3-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat drive controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The controller is installed in control cabinets to manage servo axes in packaging lines, assembly gantries, and other automated stations where coordinated speed and torque regulation are essential. By converting three-phase mains power into controlled output and supervising encoder feedback, it links PLC motion commands with actual motor movement. In coordinated machines, the controller manages the electrical side of the axis while the motor and transmission handle the mechanical load. That division helps maintain repeatable motion during indexing, positioning, and speed-controlled production tasks.
This controller accepts a supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10% and can deliver a device peak current of 5 A to the connected motor phases. Heat produced during switching is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the enclosure has an IP20 protection class, so the unit must be mounted inside a cabinet. Network traffic for axis coordination is carried over the MultiEthernet platform, which supports communication with real-time industrial Ethernet systems used by the control architecture. The power section supports a common DC-bus arrangement for infeeding and fed operation, so it can receive energy from or return regenerated energy to other drives on the shared bus.
The control section uses the BASIC design in type 03 form and is supplied as Design Version 1. Position feedback enters through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, while higher-level fieldbus commands can also be exchanged over PROFIBUS. Functional safety is provided by the single-channel STO (Safe Torque Off) circuit, which removes torque-producing drive energy without disconnecting mains power. The available feedback and bus options let the controller fit systems that need direct encoder evaluation together with field-level communication from a higher-level control. This arrangement supports applications that require coordinated control, standard feedback options, and a direct safety shutdown function within the drive system.
