Mounted inside a control cabinet, the module converts line power into a regulated DC bus and a three-phase output that energizes synchronous or asynchronous motors with stable voltage and current control. This link between the motion logic in the attached control section and the machine’s actuators makes it suitable for single-axis handling stations, packaging equipment, and light assembly cells that demand precise velocity or torque regulation during repeated cycle changes. Because the power stage and control section are separate, the module fits cabinet layouts that keep motion electronics compact and organized.
The unit can supply up to 18 A of peak phase current, giving short bursts of acceleration during indexing or speed changes. It accepts a supply of 3-phase 110–230 V AC ±10%, allowing connection to common factory services used with compact industrial drives. Drive commands and status data travel on a SERCOS III master interface that supports cross-communication between neighboring drives, which helps reduce extra field cabling in multi-axis cabinets.
