Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-NN-PW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It belongs to the HCS01 line and is design version 1. In machine tools, packaging lines, and handling systems, the unit regulates servo axes by supplying controlled current and exchanging position data with the control electronics for coordinated speed, torque, and position control. This controller forms the power stage of an IndraDrive system, converting three-phase mains energy into precise motor torque for industrial automation and repeatable axis motion.
The power stage can deliver a device peak output of 28 A, allowing short-term acceleration of connected motors during dynamic motion without saturation. Input flexibility is provided by a three-phase range of 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10 %, so the module can be wired to a wide range of plant supplies. Thermal stability is maintained through internal air cooling that uses an integrated blower to move cabinet air across the heat sink, and no external ducting is required. An IP20 housing limits finger contact and falling-dust ingress when mounted inside an enclosure. For functional safety, the hardware carries the STO and SBC interface, which removes drive torque and commands the machine brake during emergency stops. Interface 2 is not populated, so a second encoder channel is not provided.
System communication occurs over MultiEthernet, enabling parameter access on EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT networks without changing hardware. Position feedback enters through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 channel, supporting absolute or incremental encoder formats for synchronous and asynchronous motors during closed-loop operation. The control section named BASIC supplies drive logic, and the power interface uses an infeeding / fed configuration so common DC-bus energy can be shared among multiple axes in the same system.
