The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-NN-SB-NN-FW is a drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed as part of an integrated motion platform, the unit coordinates power conversion and feedback processing to command synchronous and asynchronous motors in automated machinery. By combining power electronics with network and encoder interfaces, it serves as the axis drive element in packaging, material handling, and general factory automation systems. This arrangement allows one module to manage motor current, process feedback signals, and exchange control data with the higher-level machine network.
Electrically, the controller operates from a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10% and can deliver a device peak output of 18 A for short acceleration bursts. Communication with upper-level PLCs is handled through the MultiEthernet port, allowing EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other protocol selections without extra hardware. The dedicated encoder channel supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, allowing the drive to process compatible motor feedback for closed-loop speed and position control. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so it is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet. This cabinet-mounted format helps shield the unit from direct contact and exposure while keeping network, power, and feedback connections accessible in a control enclosure.
The drive uses a BASIC control section and is built as Version 1. Thermal management uses internal air cooling driven by an integrated blower, which removes heat without external ductwork and supports compact panel layouts. The power section is classified as an infeeding and fed power section, allowing common DC bus sharing between multiple axes during operation. The second option slot is not equipped, so that position remains empty on the base unit. This layout supports multi-axis systems where one controller can share bus energy with neighboring drives during acceleration and regenerative braking.
