Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts incoming AC power into controlled motor output so connected synchronous or asynchronous motors can follow programmed velocity and position commands with stable current regulation. In an automation cell, the unit links the machine PLC to the axis, manages fault monitoring and regenerative energy flow, and keeps the installation compact through the HCS01 form factor. This allows one compact controller to supervise torque production, motor response, and axis behavior during routine machine cycles and repeatable positioning tasks.
The power stage accepts 3 x AC 110 to 230 V with a tolerance of ±10%, allowing the controller to operate from common three-phase industrial supplies. An internal air cooling system with an integrated blower removes switching heat, so the unit does not require an external heat sink for normal installation. Peak output current reaches 13 A, which supports short-term overload demand during acceleration and braking. Energy exchange across a shared DC bus uses infeed and feed operation, and the IP20 enclosure requires the controller to be installed inside a control cabinet. This keeps live components behind the cabinet barrier during normal machine use.
For networked motion control, the drive provides a MultiEthernet port that supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and SERCOS through the same connector, which helps standardize machine wiring across different control platforms and regional network preferences. Motor feedback is handled through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface on Interface 1, supplying absolute position information directly to the control loop. The control section uses the BASIC version, and the unit is not equipped with integrated safety, so Safe Torque Off must be handled by external safety hardware. It can therefore serve as both the motion interface and the feedback-processing point for a single cabinet axis. Network communication and position evaluation are kept inside the same controller housing, which reduces the need for separate interface modules.
