The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device belongs to the HCS01 line and connects an IndraDrive power stage with synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated production cells. By regulating current and evaluating encoder feedback, it closes the motion loop and exchanges status data with the plant PLC over real-time networks. That combination lets the controller manage speed, torque, and position control within a compact single-axis drive platform.
The control hardware communicates through MultiEthernet, so PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT nodes can be addressed without extra option cards. This communication approach keeps network selection flexible when the same machine platform is used across different control standards. Supply flexibility is provided by a mains window of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, which allows one part number to be used in both low- and medium-voltage panels. During short acceleration events, the inverter supports a device peak output of 5 A, which helps the drive handle brief dynamic load changes. Internal cooling is provided by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which directs airflow across the heat sink without using external cabinet air. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so live parts are finger-safe, but the unit still requires installation in a protected enclosure.
A hardware channel provides STO (Safe Torque Off), so an emergency stop can remove motor torque without opening the mains contactor. Two ports accept IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interfaces, giving absolute position data for high-resolution motion tasks. The encoder inputs support feedback handling for axes that require precise synchronization and repeatable positioning under changing load conditions. Energy flows through a shared DC bus infeed link, which allows regenerated power to be exchanged with neighboring axes. The hardware designation HCS01 corresponds to Design Version 1 and is paired with a BASIC control section. This configuration includes no optional design features in the control section.
