Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a modular drive controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. This unit serves as the power and control stage for single-axis servo or induction drives in industrial automation cells. By combining inverter electronics with diagnostic and safety circuitry, the controller supplies regulated current to connected motors while exchanging real-time status data with higher-level PLCs across fieldbus networks. Its compact footprint and cabinet-mounting design make it suitable for packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and general motion platforms that require precise torque and speed regulation.
It supports an AC input of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10%, allowing the same hardware to operate on low- or medium-voltage plant power without tap changes. During acceleration, it can deliver a device peak current of 9 A, giving short bursts of torque to overcome static loads before returning to rated operation. Heat generated by the power stage is removed through internal air cooling that uses an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required inside the enclosure. All terminations lie behind an IP20 touch-safe shield, which limits accidental contact but requires installation in a closed cabinet. Motion commands and feedback are exchanged over SERCOS III master (cross communication), permitting deterministic axis coordination among multiple drives.
The control section identified as ADVANCED is paired with this power module and provides expanded processing for multi-axis interpolation, camming, and user macro logic. Two identical feedback ports accept Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, enabling dual-loop control or connection of both motor and external load encoders. For functional safety, the hardware includes the STO (Safe Torque Off) circuit, which removes gate-drive energy without altering stored parameters. Energy is shared across a common DC bus, and selectable infeed/feed operation lets the unit either supply or absorb regenerative power depending on system topology. The unit is design version 1.
