The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-DA-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller from the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It interfaces between a three-phase mains supply and servo or induction motors, executing velocity, position, and torque commands issued by a plant PLC. By combining an inverter stage, encoder evaluation, and fieldbus connectivity in one housing, it helps simplify cabinet layouts for packaging lines, handling stations, and general motion axes. This arrangement lets one unit manage motor power conversion and motion feedback without requiring separate control hardware for routine axis tasks.

It supports a supply of 3 x AC 200–500 V (±10%), so the same hardware can operate across a wide range of industrial mains systems. During acceleration, the power stage can source up to 18 A peak, which is the maximum short-term motor current available during brief demand changes. Functional safety is provided by the STO input, which disables gate signals and prevents unintended torque. With an IP20 enclosure, the device is suited for protected electrical cabinets where only solid-object ingress must be blocked. System buses connect through MultiEthernet, allowing one interface port to run EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT for cyclic data exchange and diagnostics without extra option modules.

The controller is fitted with a BASIC control section that supplies standard drive functions such as speed control, homing, and simple positioning. Cooling air moves through an internal blower, so external ducting is unnecessary. Motor feedback is accepted over the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, enabling single-cable technology with compatible motors. The unit is Design Version 1, and the integrated DC link can work in infeeding or regenerative mode, sending excess energy back to the bus during braking events.
