Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller from the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This unit functions as the regulating element between the incoming mains and synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery, translating incoming electrical power into controlled motor output. By converting and modulating three-phase power, the controller coordinates velocity, torque, and position loops commanded by a higher-level PLC, making it suitable for packaging lines, material-handling axes, conveyor systems, and general factory automation.
Electrical capacity starts with a 200–500 V AC three-phase input range, allowing a single hardware model to serve global supply grids without tap changes. During acceleration events, the inverter can deliver up to 18 A of peak current, giving reserve headroom for short-term overloads and dynamic load changes. Internally, heat is expelled by an integrated blower, so this air path eliminates external ducting while maintaining rated output. A cabinet protection rating of IP20 limits the controller to clean, closed enclosures, and the power section is arranged for infeeding operation, so regenerated energy can be returned to the DC bus or absorbed by a brake resistor as required.
Drive-to-control communication relies on the deterministic SERCOS III bus, ensuring synchronized setpoint exchange across multiple axes and stable cycle timing between the controller and the machine network. The control section uses the ECONOMY type and still exposes a sensor port for Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 feedback, allowing absolute position data from IndraDyn encoders to be processed within the same unit. For personnel protection, the unit provides the hardware-based STO function, which removes torque-producing energy within milliseconds when an emergency circuit is opened.
