An advantage of the HCS drive converters by Bosch Rexroth is their compact size, which makes them easy to handle and install. They are components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system and play a key role in controlling electric motors and monitoring their operation. Typically, they are used in general automation, machine tools, etc.
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-NN-NN-FW is a high-performance drive converter of the HCS series by Bosch Rexroth. It has a multi-encoder interface for encoders like the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the combined encoder for SSI, the MSK motor encoder, and the MS2N motor encoder. These standard encoder types have supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. The drive converter also has a Multi-Ethernet module, permitting integration in different Ethernet field bus systems such as EtherCAT, sercos III, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET IO. Its master communication module is the sercos master (cross communication), allowing it to interact with other system components.
Thanks to the standard control panel in the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-NN-NN-FW, fault identification and resolution are easier. The control panel also functions as a programming module. It has a single-line display on which its real-time operating status, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings are shown.
