The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the central converter in multi-axis automation by conditioning three-phase mains power, executing motion commands, and supplying regulated current to connected IndraDyn motors. By combining control and power electronics in one housing, the unit helps simplify cabinet layouts in packaging, printing, and material-handling machines.
The controller operates from a three-phase supply of 200–500 V AC, allowing use on low- or medium-voltage plant power systems without an external transformer. During rapid acceleration or regenerative braking, it can deliver up to 54 A of peak current to the load, which supports demanding axis movements. Protection is rated at IP20, so the device is intended for installation inside an enclosed cabinet. Deterministic motion exchange is handled through SERCOS III, which supports cross-communication among multiple IndraDrive controllers. A second port marked MultiEthernet allows access through EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or TCP/IP service channels, and the unit is design version 1 of the HCS01 line without a dedicated safety interface.
This power section is paired with an ADVANCED control section, providing extended processing capability for multi-axis interpolation and onboard PLC functions. Thermal management relies on an integrated blower that moves air through the heat sink, so no external fan is required for normal cooling. For position feedback, Interface 1 supports IndraDyn single-cable encoders and EnDat 2.2, allowing high-resolution absolute position data to reach the drive without separate converter modules. Power can be fed back to a common DC bus because the supply stage is configured for infeeding and power-feed operation, which allows surplus braking energy to be shared with other axes or returned to the grid.
