Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The unit functions as a drive controller that modulates power between an AC line supply and compatible IndraDyn servo motors, enabling torque and speed regulation in industrial automation cells. It integrates control and power electronics within a compact frame suited for cabinet mounting. This format helps the controller fit tightly spaced machine panels where motion hardware, wiring, and protective devices must share limited enclosure space.
The controller features a communication backplane based on MultiEthernet, allowing the same hardware to support EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or SERCOS over Ethernet without additional option cards. Its control section is supplied in the BASIC configuration, and the drive and control sections are matched for this model. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so the unit uses its own airflow path as long as the intake openings remain clear. Machine networking can also be extended through a second CANopen interface for decentralized I/O or axis coordination. The safety terminal provides STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), allowing torque to be removed safely while supporting brake control through the drive. This arrangement places power conversion, encoder processing, communication, and safety connections in one compact controller housing.
