Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller from the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a compact power section used with a dedicated control section, it supplies regulated AC power to synchronous or asynchronous servo axes in automated machines and production lines. The device converts incoming mains energy into modulated motor output while supervising electrical and thermal limits. It carries velocity, torque, and position commands from the upper-level motion system to the connected motor. This layout allows closed-loop axis control in a compact drive format for cabinet-mounted automation equipment.
This power section operates from a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10%. Within that range, it can deliver a peak current of 3 A to support small servo axes during acceleration and stall conditions. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required when the unit is mounted in a control cabinet. Because the blower is built into the unit, the cabinet does not need separate cooling duct connections for the drive itself. The housing has an IP20 rating, which helps prevent finger contact and requires installation inside an enclosed panel. Motion commands and status data are exchanged over SERCOS III, enabling deterministic synchronization with neighboring drives and the PLC.
The paired control section is the ECONOMY version, so the unit does not include an integrated safety interface. The hardware is Version 1. Interface 1 accepts IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, allowing the drive to close a high-resolution servo loop without external converters. Energy is managed through a common DC bus with infeeding and fed modes, which allows regenerative power sharing among compatible drives. Recovered braking energy can be passed to other connected axes on the same DC bus. This power section is intended for use only with the ECONOMY control module.
