The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW is an industrial drive controller. It is used in conjunction with a compatible Bosch motor for industrial applications. Typical applications for servo systems with HCS controllers include food industry, printing machines, machine tools and general automation. The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW controller is available in an IP20 rated housing that is suited to vertical installation. The recommended mounting method is through attachment of the rear of the controller to the mounting surface. However, due to presence of resistors at the back of the unit, operators must ensure that no other devices are located nearby that can be damaged due to the heat from the resistors. If insufficient space is available on the front of the controller, Bosch permits mounting the unit via attachment of either the left or the right sides to the mounting surface.
The operating voltage range for the unit is 110 to 230 Volts AC. The peak current output is 18 Amps. Bosch has designed the controller for 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Elevation of the site where the unit is used should be between 0 and 3300 feet. Controller operation outside these limits leads to output derating, and can also lead to component malfunction. The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW controller is equipped with two integrated interfaces: multi-encoder interface and SERCOS/EtherCat. The controller is equipped with an optional hardware module that features an engineering port. A standard control panel can be used for configuration and programmer. The control panel can also be used for monitoring the controller during normal operation. Bosch has designed the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN- FW for forced-air cooling.
