The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-PB-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, it serves as the axis power stage in automated machinery and converts supply power into regulated output for synchronous and asynchronous motors. By integrating motion, safety, and fieldbus functions, the controller coordinates motor torque and speed with higher-level PLC commands in industrial automation lines. This arrangement suits packaging systems, handling equipment, and other machine axes that require stable speed control and quick response to load changes.
At the communication layer, the controller uses the MultiEthernet platform, allowing multiple IP-based protocols to share diagnostics and parameter data. Power transistors are cooled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The drive can provide up to 18 A of peak output current for short acceleration bursts. Feedback from connected motors is accepted through an IndraDyn encoder interface with Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 connection, while networked motion sequences are triggered over a dedicated PROFIBUS channel. It operates directly from 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10 % mains and uses an internal supply section for infeeding operation, which allows regenerative energy flow to a shared DC bus. This can return braking energy from one axis for use elsewhere in the drive system instead of dissipating it locally. Safe torque interruption is provided by the integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) circuit, supporting emergency stop architecture without extra relays. The device belongs to the HCS01 line, uses design version 1, and is configured with a BASIC control section.
