The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW is an industrial drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The unit is design version 1 in the HCS01 line and is used to govern servo and induction motors in modular automation cells. It provides closed-loop speed and torque regulation while exchanging motion and diagnostic data with higher-level control equipment. In operation, it acts as the axis-side control element that coordinates commanded speed changes, torque response, and machine status reporting during normal production. This makes it suitable for material-handling stations, packaging machinery, and light assembly equipment where compact cabinet layout and coordinated axis control are required.
Its backplane offers MultiEthernet support, so common industrial Ethernet protocols can run natively. The power stage is paired with the BASIC control section for this type. During acceleration, the unit can supply up to 9 A of peak current from a mains input of 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10 %. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, which helps prevent accidental contact with internal circuits in enclosed panels. Its narrow form also helps fit multiple axes in closely spaced panel arrangements without requiring a wider cabinet. The integrated supply can operate in both infeeding and fed modes, allowing energy to move to or from the DC bus as operating conditions change.
Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, which keeps the drive electronics within acceptable temperature limits without adding external cooling hardware. The blower-driven cooling path remains internal, which helps separate sensitive electronics from direct exposure to surrounding cabinet air. Motor position data is accepted through the first feedback interface, which supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 for high-resolution feedback. This interface compatibility allows the controller to work with several motor feedback formats used across the platform. The safety interface provides STO and SBC, allowing torque shutdown and brake control functions to be handled through the drive.
