Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-CC-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and delivered within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a compact cabinet-mounted unit, it coordinates servo axes in automated machinery by converting mains power into regulated current for IndraDyn motors. It also exchanges motion commands with higher-level PLCs so the drive can participate in synchronized machine control. This makes the unit suitable for installations where coordinated axis movement and compact cabinet layout are both important.
The controller communicates with neighboring drives via the SERCOS III master interface, so synchronized cross-communication can be built into ring or line network topologies. That layout supports coordinated data exchange between axes without requiring separate point-to-point links for each adjacent module. It accepts a supply of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10% and, during short dynamic events, can deliver up to 18 A of peak device current to the motor windings. Internal thermal management uses internal air cooling with an integrated blower, which directs airflow across heat-generating components without external ducting. The housing carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for installation in closed control cabinets where protection from direct contact is sufficient. It has no optional mechanical add-ons, so the footprint stays unchanged across similar power classes.
The control section is identified as ADVANCED, so additional processing resources are available for drive-based logic, fast position loops, and diagnostic functions. Power enters through a common bus infeed, allowing DC bus sharing within a multi-axis rack. Integrated safety circuitry provides STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), so motion can be safely inhibited or a holding brake can be commanded without external relays. Two identical feedback channels accept IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, which supports redundant or multi-motor feedback arrangements and gives the controller flexibility with different motor feedback formats.
