The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW is an HCS Drive Controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Built on the HCS01 line with design version 1, it is intended for compact automation stations where regulated torque and speed loops are managed from a central motion platform. In typical machines, it converts network commands into synchronized motor currents so conveyors, pick-and-place modules, and indexing tables can follow programmed trajectories with repeatable accuracy. Its compact format suits cabinet-mounted axes where installation space is limited.
Field communication is handled through a MultiEthernet port, allowing the controller to join mixed-protocol networks without additional gateways. The power stage accepts 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10%, which suits light machine frames and compact cabinet supplies. During acceleration, the unit can deliver a peak current of 18 A, which is the maximum inverter output available for short load surges. An enclosure rated IP20 protects against finger contact, so the unit must be installed inside a cabinet. Thermal energy is removed by a built-in air blower, which moves ambient air across the heat sink to keep semiconductor temperatures within a safe operating range. The power supply section also supports a common DC bus so regenerated energy can be shared among connected drives.
The control side uses a BASIC section that pairs directly with the selected power module. Both feedback ports support IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, allowing high-resolution position data from synchronous or asynchronous motors to be processed by the controller. Functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), so torque can be removed quickly and a connected holding brake can be actuated without separate relays. Because the platform uses application-specific software, firmware is ordered as a separate subposition so the required feature set can be selected without changing the hardware.
