The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-S5-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This unit forms the power section of a modular motion system by taking three-phase mains power, converting it, and supplying regulated power to synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery. It also provides axis control logic, protective functions, and Ethernet connectivity for packaging lines, material handling stations, and general-purpose factory automation cells. This makes it suitable for coordinated motion tasks that require reliable drive control and network communication inside a cabinet-based automation system.
Electrically, the device accepts a supply range of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, allowing one unit to operate on a wide range of industrial power systems. Inside the housing, an IGBT bridge can deliver a device peak current of 28 A, giving brief overload headroom during acceleration or braking before current limiting returns the output to its continuous level. The unit is Version 1 and has an IP20 enclosure rating, so it is intended for installation inside a closed control cabinet. Fieldbus communication is handled through a MultiEthernet interface that supports common industrial protocols without extra option cards. This communication setup helps the controller exchange motion and status data with the surrounding automation system.
Thermal management uses internal air cooling, so the integrated blower removes switching losses from the heat sink without external ducting. Feedback wiring terminates on an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder port, while the second encoder channel is not equipped. The power section supports infeeding/feed operation, so it can draw energy from the mains or return regenerated power to a common DC bus shared with neighboring axes. Within the HCS01 line, the unit is paired with a BASIC control section. This arrangement keeps the controller focused on core drive and feedback functions while fitting the modular layout of the platform.
