The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It provides closed-loop current, speed, and position regulation for servo axes in industrial automation cells, linking motion commands from a PLC to a connected motor through its integrated power stage and control electronics. Process data is exchanged through the MultiEthernet port, allowing the controller to connect to PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT networks without additional option cards. The unit uses a BASIC control section, making it suitable for applications that use the standard control platform in this drive class.
During acceleration and braking, the power stage can deliver up to 5 A of peak current for low-power servo or spindle axes. The supply terminals accept 3 x AC 200–500 V ±10%, allowing the same controller to operate across a broad plant voltage range. Heat from the power electronics is removed by internal forced air cooling, and the enclosure has an IP20 protection rating for installation inside a switch cabinet. Functional safety includes STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), which remove torque-producing energy and control a holding brake when a safety stop is requested.
Position feedback is accepted on Interface 1 through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 connection, so compatible motors can return operating data directly to the controller. Interface 2 provides encoder emulation, which supplies a scalable feedback signal to downstream axes or external measuring devices. The DC bus uses an infeeding and fed power supply concept, allowing multiple drives to share regenerative energy on a common supply structure. This arrangement supports energy exchange between connected axes during dynamic motion.
