The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It provides closed-loop speed and torque regulation for single-axis servo or induction motors used in conveyors, packaging equipment, and general motion platforms. By integrating power electronics, safety functions, and fieldbus connectivity in a compact frame, the unit simplifies cabinet layouts in automated production cells. This arrangement supports precise axis response during starts, stops, and load changes without requiring a large drive footprint.
It integrates a MultiEthernet port that supports real-time Ethernet protocols, allowing direct PLC connection and fast cyclic data exchange. Heat from the power stage is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which avoids the need for separate external fan trays. The input accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, and the converter supplies up to 5 A of peak current for low-power axes. An IP20 housing protects against accidental contact with live parts inside the cabinet. Within the HCS01 line, Version 1 works with an infeeding and fed power supply concept so regenerated energy can return to the DC bus or be dissipated through a braking resistor.
Feedback enters through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, while the PROFIBUS port supports legacy fieldbus control where that network remains in use. The control section is the BASIC type, providing standard motion functions without extended technology packages. Integrated safety includes STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), allowing the controller to remove torque and control the brake by dual-channel command. The L4 option set keeps the same physical format, and shared DC links allow multiple axes to exchange regenerated energy across the system.
