Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Built on the HCS01 line and identified as design version 1, it converts the incoming AC supply into a regulated DC link and executes real-time current, speed, and position loops for connected servo or induction motors used in automated handling, printing, and assembly equipment. By combining power electronics with fieldbus and safety functions in one module, it simplifies panel layouts and reduces wiring within industrial automation cells. This arrangement allows a single compact unit to handle motor control, network communication, and safety-related shutdown functions inside the cabinet.
This controller accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 110…230 V ±10% and supplies up to 3 A of peak current to the motor, which is suitable for low-power axes such as grippers or auxiliary conveyors. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, eliminating the need for external ducting. The enclosure is rated IP20, so it is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. Communication with higher-level PLCs is provided through the MultiEthernet port, allowing direct integration into EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT networks without additional gateways. The power section is designated as infeeding and feeded, enabling the unit to draw energy from or return energy to a shared DC bus.
The unit uses the BASIC control section for standard motion tasks. For motor feedback, it provides an Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface. Cyclic setpoints and diagnostics can also pass over PROFIBUS when legacy control systems are used. Functional safety is handled by STO and SBC, which remove torque and command the motor brake without external relays. This combination supports applications that need closed-loop motor feedback together with integrated network communication and safety functions in the same drive.
