The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-E-S3-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is a compact drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit combines a power stage and motion-control logic to actuate single-axis servo or induction motors in automated assembly lines, pick-and-place modules, and printing equipment. Its role is to convert three-phase mains power into a regulated output while exchanging real-time status data with higher-level PLCs, delivering precise velocity, position, and torque regulation to connected machinery.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing one hardware type to cover a wide range of industrial power systems. During acceleration or transient overloads, it can deliver a device peak current of 8 A, which is the maximum current available from the unit without external boosters. Heat generated by the IGBT stack is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet airflow requirements remain straightforward. An enclosure rating of IP20 indicates that the terminals must be installed inside a protected electrical cabinet. For deterministic motion coordination, the drive uses a SERCOS III interface to the PLC, enabling fast setpoint updates and feedback exchange.
The control section uses the ECONOMY variant and provides standard functionality in a compact format. Position feedback from motors is processed through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, supporting direct connection to compatible feedback systems.
