Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-SB-NN-FW drive controller, a member of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series used to regulate servo and induction motors in distributed automation cells. As a compact controller, the unit coordinates power conversion, feedback processing, and network communication so motion axes receive deterministic torque and speed commands during machine operation. This allows the drive to support conveying, indexing, and positioning tasks across automated packaging, assembly, and handling equipment. Its compact format also helps where cabinet space is limited but stable motor control is still required.
The power section accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing it to operate on international factory grids without a separate transformer in many installations. An integrated rectifier and DC link provide up to 18 A of peak device current, which supports short acceleration bursts and helps the axis respond quickly to changing loads. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through a built-in blower, and the protection category is IP20, so the unit must be mounted inside a control cabinet. For higher-level control, the drive uses a MultiEthernet interface that supports several industrial Ethernet protocols and allows flexible integration into different machine networks.
The control section is the BASIC variant in design version 1, providing the core motion-control functions used for standard axis tasks. Motion feedback is handled through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 channel on Interface 1, allowing the controller to read position data from compatible feedback systems over serial communication. Energy exchange with the common DC bus uses infeeding and feed operation, so the unit can accept regenerated energy from other axes or operate with an external supply arrangement.
