Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As an HCS drive controller, it regulates DC bus energy and performs closed-loop motor control for automated production lines, packaging equipment, and material-handling systems. Its role is to convert incoming supply power into controlled motor output while maintaining stable response to changing loads and commanded motion profiles. It is suited for cabinet-mounted motion applications that need coordinated speed, torque, and position control from a compact single-axis platform.
The mains input is 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing the unit to operate on common 230 V and 460 V installations without a transformer. During acceleration peaks, the power stage can deliver 54 A of peak current to the connected axis. Thermal management uses internal air cooling from an integrated blower, so no external coolant circuit is required. Network integration is handled through a MultiEthernet port that supports industrial communication protocols for synchronized motion and diagnostics. Two identical feedback ports accept Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, allowing the controller to close position loops directly from high-resolution transducers. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the unit must be installed inside a control cabinet that provides additional protection. Because the cooling air is generated internally, the surrounding enclosure still needs a clear airflow path so heat can leave the cabinet effectively.
This hardware is classified as Design Version 1 in the HCS01 line, which indicates the first mechanical and electrical revision. Its power section operates in an Infeeding/Feeded topology, which allows regenerated energy to return to the DC bus during deceleration. The device is intended to be paired with a control section designated BASIC, which provides the application-specific control functions and parameter handling. A dedicated safety interface is not installed, so external safety circuits must interrupt the drive-enable signals when that function is required.
