Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-AW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It supplies pulse-width-modulated power to servo and induction motors and closes the velocity and position loops used in industrial automation. In cabinet-mounted multi-axis systems, the unit links the line supply, motor feedback, and the higher-level control network in one controller. The controller regulates motor response so commanded speed changes and position updates are translated into controlled torque at the axis. This supports tasks such as indexing, pick-and-place, and material transfer.
Communication is handled through MultiEthernet, so one hardware interface can be set for EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT as required by the machine. The power stage operates from 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10% and can provide a peak output current of 18 A during acceleration or changing load conditions. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which avoids the need for external ducting and moves switching losses away from the power section. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the controller is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet and not for exposed mounting on the machine frame.
This variant uses the BASIC control section and is built as Design Version 1, which adds diagnostic LEDs and flash memory for parameter backup without changing the housing size. The XG31 feedback connection supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, allowing absolute position signals to reach the digital control loops for commutation and position control. A second encoder port is not equipped on this version. DC link power is managed through infeeding and shared DC-bus operation, allowing multiple drives on the same bus to exchange braking energy instead of sending it all to an external resistor.
