Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-ET-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW is a drive controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, it regulates power flow between the mains and an IndraDyn servo motor, allowing coordinated motion tasks without external braking choppers or standalone rectifiers. In servo systems, it provides the regulated current needed for speed, torque, and position control during indexing, conveying, and synchronized axis movement. This unit belongs to the compact HCS01 line, so it fits control cabinets where installation space is limited and low heat dissipation is important.
The controller connects to higher-level PLCs over MultiEthernet, a stacked interface that supports several Ethernet-based fieldbuses through one port. Continuous cooling is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which draws cabinet air across the heat sink and removes the need for ducted external fans. This arrangement supports compact cabinet layouts where airflow must remain inside the enclosure. For short acceleration peaks, the power stage delivers a device current of 5 A. The mains input accepts 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, so the same unit can operate on both 230 V and 480 V plant power without a transformer. The IP20 housing helps prevent accidental finger contact with live parts and is intended for protected indoor installation. The internal supply can draw energy from a common DC bus and can also return regenerated energy to it, which simplifies multi-axis layouts.
Feedback from the motor reaches the control board through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder connector, supporting compatible closed-loop motor feedback formats. Discrete I/O and cyclic setpoints can also be exchanged on the secondary PROFIBUS channel when legacy networking is required. The unit is built as Design Version 1, which identifies this hardware revision. It is supplied with BASIC control section design (B), indicating the installed control-section format for this model.
