Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the power and control interface between a plant's PLC and the connected servo or induction motor, translating logic-level commands into regulated three-phase output for motion tasks such as indexing, positioning, and speed control. The compact HCS01 frame integrates rectifier, DC-bus capacitors, and IGBT inverter stages so that a complete axis can be installed inside a panel without auxiliary power modules.
This controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110…230 V ±10% and expels conversion heat through internal air cooling driven by an integrated blower. During acceleration peaks, it can deliver up to 13 A to the motor windings while maintaining current-loop stability. For higher-level communication, a MultiEthernet interface supports several real-time protocols through the same physical port. Feedback from the motor is processed through IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, allowing automatic parameter recognition and fine position interpolation. Cabinet ingress protection is rated at IP20, so the unit should be installed in a closed electrical enclosure.
Application matching is simplified because the control section is factory-designated as BASIC, and this power section is paired to that board through the internal backplane. Machine networks that rely on distributed I/O can connect a dedicated CANopen bus for cyclic status words and drive diagnostics over a single twisted pair. For functional safety, the hardware includes STO (Safe Torque Off), which removes gate power to the IGBTs when triggered. The unit is design version 1 and uses a dual-mode power supply topology for infeed and feeder operation without optional design features.
