Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is an HCS Drive Controller with MultiEthernet communication. Internal blower air cooling and a 9 A peak current support stable thermal behavior and responsive drive performance. STO safety and 3 x AC 110...230 V mains input make the controller a very capable choice for machine-axis applications.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, it supplies regulated power to a single servo axis. It also exchanges status data with higher-level PLCs and serves as the motion interface between the plant control system and the attached motor. This arrangement lets the controller handle both drive output and motion-related communication in one cabinet-mounted unit.
This controller communicates through MultiEthernet, so Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and other Ethernet-based fieldbus systems can use the same port without extra hardware. Its input stage tolerates a mains range of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10%, allowing operation on both 120 V and 208 V factory networks. Internally, heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which moves cabinet air across the heat sink and avoids external cooling ducts. The device can deliver up to 9 A of peak output current for short-term acceleration demands, and the housing meets IP20, so it is finger-safe but must be installed inside an enclosure. This layout suits standard industrial control cabinets with managed internal airflow.
Functional safety is provided by the integrated STO input, which removes torque-producing energy without cutting power to the control electronics. This allows the control section to remain active for communication and diagnostics while motor torque is disabled. Two feedback ports accept IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders, so dual-loop applications can be wired without adapters, and a motor feedback device can be paired with a secondary position source when needed. The power section supports infeeding and fed operation, which allows braking energy to return to a shared DC bus during operation. The unit is Design Version 1.
