The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. It belongs to the HCS series from Bosch Rexroth. This family of controllers is compatible with multiple motor product lines from Bosch. Its power section is designed for three-phase input at 200 to 500 Volts AC. The controller is based on a basic control section. Integrated communication supported by the unit is Multi-Ethernet. The controller also features an integrated multi-encoder interface. This interface supports multiple encoders including 5V-TTL square-wave encoder, BiSS C, MSK motor encoder, MSM motor encoder, combined encoder for SSI and several other encoders. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW features two optional plug in modules: a safety module and a module with an engineering port. The safety module support two functions: safe brake control and safe torque off. Safe brake control supplies a safe output signal to drive an external mechanical brake.
The brakes used must be “safety brakes”, in which a quiescent current operates against a spring. The brake engages if the current flow is interrupted.
